Turkey is a very popular tourist destination all around the world. Not only that but it`s easy to get there by bus, car, train or plane, if you have the luck to be departing from Europe. If your trip to Turkey starts in the US, than it`s a different story. There are numerous options for flying to major European cities and catch a plane to Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara or any other larger city in the country. Some people though prefer a direct flight to their desired destination. But let`s see what offers are there for a non stop flight from the US to Turkey.

The first company on our list that offers direct flights from the United States to Turkey is Delta Airlines. What Delta offers us is a flight that takes off from New York JFK airport and flies all the way to Turkey`s Ataturk airport. This flight is daily and the plane departs every day at 5:00 pm. The route to Istanbul takes around 10 hours and you`ll be flown on a Boeing 767-400.

Another airline offering straight flights from the US to Turkey is the country`s national carrier Turkish Airlines. Turkish has daily flights from JFK to Istanbul` s International airport in 4:45 pm. There is another direct flight operated in a similar manner by Turkish Airlines from Chicago`s O`Hare airport to Istanbul. The flight departs every day at 10:20 pm and it takes approximately 11 hours to get to Turkey.

If you are willing to make a stop in Europe, you will be surprised of the variety of flights, that airlines can offer you. After all, Turkey is a major destination for European airlines and it`s easy to get not only to Istanbul but to other major cities like Izmir and Ankara.
