Japanese photographer reveals Turkey`s underwater beauty
Famous Japanese photographer Masakazu Akagi has just finished his 50 day stay in Turkey. His goal was to photograph the underwater beauties of the Aegean Sea near the towns of Bodrum and Datca. Akagi, who is known as emperor Tohomito`s private photographer, arrived upon the invitation from the ministry of culture and tourism as well as the Bodrum Culture and Arts Foundation known as BOSAV. The Japanese guest dove into ancient shipwrecks and the ruins of the antique cities of Turgutreis Yassiada, Myndos Port and Datca Knidos. He also took photographs of Iskender Cape, Fener cape and Tavsan Cape.
Akagi spent a total of 12 hours underwater making video footage and photographs. All of his materials will be aired on the Japanese national TV NHK in four separate episodes. 2010 is the Japan year in Turkey and Masakazu Akagi`s visit is part of the cultural activities in the two countries. Akagi took more than 4000 thousand pictures in his 50 day tour of Turkey`s underwater beauty.He felt very happy with his work in the country and said that he never encountered such cultural riches as in the Turkish coast of the Aegean sea.
