Turkey will actively build hotels on the Black Sea coast

Holidays in Turkey today are known mainly due to the country's resorts located on the shores of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. At the same time, Turkish officials may more and more attention to the development of the Black Sea region. Today Turkish resorts on the Black Sea are not so popular as their southern counterparts. This situation should be changed by the Turkish government's ambitious program to develop the region.

Large-scale investment plan on developing of the Black Sea resorts in the region promises to bring the region into the list of the most popular summer destinations in Europe till 2024. Turkish authorities do not conceal that the main target group are tourists from Russia and Ukraine. The new resorts on the Black Sea coast of Turkey will be developed for the visitors from these countries.

The program was introduced in Turkey in early October by the representative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ozgur Ozashan, reports balkantravellers.com. One of its areas will be the creation of modern resorts and the construction of dozens of hotels in the Turkish Black Sea ports, such as Trabzon, Samsun, and others.

Serious plans on the development of infrastructure of tourism in the Black Sea region Turkish government began to build after a fairly serious growth in the number of tourists from Russia in this region in summer 2010. The total number of tourists from CIS countries on the Black Sea resorts in Turkey increased by 20%. However, among the main reasons for this growth experts call the desire of tourists to save on vacation. As it is known, the Black Sea resorts in Turkey are much cheaper than "hyped" Aegean coast and Turkish Riviera.
